I caught this Stitch bird blasting a song out on Tiritiri Matangi Island in the Huaraki gulf, Auckland. Stitch birds are endemic to New Zealand, but populations were seriously damaged upon human settlement on the islands. Current population estimates in the wild are as little as 2500-3400.
